Dear Jhi

Dear Jhi,

Before you read any of these letters, I just want to tell you why they exist.

I never planned on writing them.

One day, I just found myself writing to you.

Some thoughts were too long for a chat message. Some feelings were too difficult to say out loud. And honestly… I was too shy to send them. I always worried that I might be saying too much.

So instead of pressing “Send,” I wrote them here.

These letters started from the very beginning—when you asked for my number, when we were still getting to know each other, and when every conversation felt like something I’d look forward to. Some were written after a happy conversation with you. Some were written the day after a moment I didn’t want to forget. And some… were written during the days when I missed talking to you.

I didn’t write these letters because I wanted anything from you.

I wrote them because I wanted to remember. I wanted to remember how we started.

The little things you probably don’t even remember saying. The conversations that stayed with me.

The days that made me smile. Even the days that hurt.

As time went on, these letters became more than just words.

They became my way of holding on to the memories, saying the things I never had the courage to tell you, and making sense of everything I was feeling.

I don’t know if you’ll ever read any of them.

Maybe these pages will always stay hidden somewhere on the internet. Or maybe one day, you’ll accidentally find them.

If you do, I hope you read them slowly.

One letter at a time. One memory at a time.

Because that’s exactly how our story happened.

They’re simply the words I wanted to tell you but never had the courage to send.

So… Welcome to every letter I never sent.

You can read all the letters here.

Love, Nikka
