Work from Home Burnout is Real

Since May began, I have been slacking off at work. All of a sudden, I was feeling down. I became weary replying to the status of this project. I went through the first week, basically sticking to my bed and staring outside my window.

In the past months, I have been doing the best that I can burning through eight or more hours every day working at home. Work doesn’t end when the shift does. #WorkInQuarantine is really tough. I am overwhelmed by the demands, hazy about assigned tasks, and confused about our current work from home situation. I feel somewhat demotivated and lost enthusiasm at work.

I slack off not because I am lazy or couldn’t care less about work or being productive. It is hard to do your best when you are mentally and physically exhausted. With the current situation outbreak, keeping up good health has gotten important. Everyone has mental health. Mental well-being is just as important as physical. And taking care of your health is essential.

Staying active may help us feel better. I started jumping rope a few days ago. Jumping rope doesn’t require any expensive equipment. All you need is a jump rope, space, and sneakers. We can’t do many activities that will help moderate our stress and anxiety. This physical activity wonders our mood, improves our sleep, decreases strain, and lifts our confidence. Jumping rope is not just about exercise; it is also about fun, as told by many.

Also, I try to maintain as many of my routines as possible, getting outdoors for daily doses of sunlight and fresh air. Establishing these routines filled with healthy habits is a great way to move more efficiently through your day.

It is OK to cut ourselves some slack. Learn to stop being so hard on yourself. You are doing better than you think.
